Grave Digger

A Halloween special cocktail that is not only fun but tastes like a dessert. With the combination of coffee, whipped cream, brandy, vanilla and Khalua it makes for a simple yet delicious treat.

Equipment

  • Shaker
  • Strainer
  • Short glass

Ingredients
  

  • 45 ml Brandy
  • 20 ml Coffee Liqueur
  • 30 ml Espresso
  • 4 Ice cubes
  • 50 ml Whipped cream
  • 40 gm Chocolate biscuit crumbs

Optional

  • Vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Add the brandy, coffee liqueur, espresso, ice cubes and vanilla into a shaker. Shake briefly.
  • Pour through a strainer and into a short glass and gently pour the whipping cream over a spoon into the glass. This will help it stay separate layers.
  • Garnish with chocolate biscuit crumbs and a tiny shovel.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don’t over shake the contents in the shaker as we are not trying create a foam.
  • Pouring the whipped cream over a spoon helps the layers stay distinctive.
  • However if your whipped cream is whipped to stiff peaks you won’t have to do this. My cream was very loose and barely whipped.
