  • Small stock pot
  • Stirring spoon
  • Strainer
  • Tea pot

  • 1 cup Hibiscus flower petals
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 cup Ice
  • 2 tbsp Honey or more
  • 5 tsp Lime juice
  • 10 Mint leaves
  • 1 piece Lemongrass

  • Mint leaves
  • Lime slices

  • In a small pot on medium heat add the water, hibiscus flower petals, honey, lime juice, mint leaves and lemon grass. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for 5-8 mins.
  • Strain into a tea pot, add ice and let it cool down for 10 mins before serving. Pour into glasses, garnish with mint leaves and lime slices. Serve cold with some dates to break your fast.

  • The longer you brew the tea the stronger it will get.
  • I like serving this tea cold but you could serve it warm as well. I wouldn’t garnish it with mint leaves if serving hot.
  • Add as much honey or sweetener you need to make it sweet enough.
