These recipes are a crowd pleaser. They are simple to prepare, delicious and beautiful center pieces at your Eid celebrations. From chocolate to pistachio to saffron there is something for everyone.
Ramadan in UAE is special. Then again it is special world over but the experience I have had here in this country is unlike another. In saying I cannot believe 2 weeks of ramadan is already over and we are half way through the holy month. I do not observe the season but I use every occasion as a reason to celebrate through food. With little over 2 weeks left for Eid I thought it fitting to share some of my favorite desserts that you can make to celebrate the occasion.
Now there are many of you who will say these recipes are not traditional and for Eid or any special festivals/seasons we should have authentic dishes served. I am here to get you to think out of the box. Yes, authentic and traditional recipes are at the heart of all our lives, experiences and palate but there is something even more special to allow yourself to enjoy foods outside your comfort zone and create new memories/experiences. Sometimes, trying new recipes that don’t have any nostalgic significance can create a new bond with your future self. All sounds very deep right? LOL! This is how my brain thinks about food and its connection in our lives.
Some recipes do have a little significance in which they are mashups of traditional ingredients and flavors combined into another form. To remind you of the flavors in some ways but also surprise you with the textures. You can find all the recipe videos on my socials so let’s get to it. Don’t forget to follow along for more fun recipe inspiration.
If you try this recipe out, don’t forget to share it with me on pinterest & instagram so I can see how it turned out. I’d love nothing more than to chat with you on your cooking/baking.
