Snickers Hot Chocolate

Creamy and rich hot chocolate flavored with peanut butter and caramel sauce. This is a simple recipe that comes together in 10 minutes, serve it with a snickers bar, obviously!

If you are new here, you must know that I am a sucker for hot chocolate. I have so many hot chocolate recipes on the blog which are all delicious and versatile but I cannot help myself. The weather is chilly and cool at the moment, which is perfect hot chocolate weather, incase you didn’t know – I thought it important to let you know. So it only made sense to combine two of my favourite things, snickers and hot chocolate.

To make this hot chocolate we don’t need milk, yes it sounds odd but trust me and the process. We need cocoa powder, dark chocolate, peanut butter, caramel sauce, maple syrup, water and vanilla. Everything is boiled together until smooth and thick. This hot chocolate tastes just like a snickers with the addition of peanut butter and caramel sauce. I also like to add more peanut butter and caramel on the mug while serving. But more importantly you must have a chocolate coated rim and chopped peanuts for that snickers crunch.

Food pairings?

I would serve this on its own as it can be rich with the chocolate, peanut butter and caramel sauce. You could serve it with a slice of the chocolate tart, peanut butter milkshake cake, chocolate bundt cake, chocolate biscuits or brownies as well. This drink is a dessert drink recipe hence it can be served as a sweet treat after a meal, for breakfast, brunch, tea time or as a mid night snack.
