This sushi bowl recipe is an easy but fun way to make sushi at home without the fuss. It is a simple recipe to satisfy those sushi cravings and filled with spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber, carrot, sushi rice, kewpie mayonnaise, sriracha and togarashi seasoning.
Cook the sushi rice as per the packet instructions or if using leftover rice make sure to season it with 1 tsp soya sauce and 1/2 tsp rice vinegar.
Drain the can of tuna and you can save the oil to something else if you like. In a bowl add the tuna, and tuna ingredients, stir to combine.
Prepare the cucumbers and carrots by cutting them as you like. Cut the avocado in half and slice.
Start by layering the bowl with the rice, add the drained tuna, prepared veggies. Top with sriracha, kewpie mayo, togarashi and seaweed. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Once you assemble the sushi bowl, serve it immediately and do not leave it out as the tuna can go bad.
