Thali/platter
Ingredients
1cuppeanutsroasted
1/2cupjaggerygrated
1/2cupdesiccated coconutroasted
2tbspghee
1/4tspcardamom powder
Pinchof salt
Instructions
In a mixer grind the nuts and jaggery together until coarse and well blended.
Add the coconut and blend until the mixture has gotten finer and evenly combined. You should be able to bring the mixture into a rough ball at that stage.
Add the cardamom and salt, blend again and transfer the mixture to a plate. Add the ghee and using your fingers massage the ingredients together until combined. It should feel like damp sand.
Using a tablespoon, portion the mixture in your hands and form into balls. Decorate with chocolate or dried rose petals.
Notes
Grind the peanuts well before adding the coconut. We are looking for a fine mixture.
If the mixture is not forming balls, add a little more ghee and mix it well before forming them into balls again.
