The easiest crumble that is similar to a crisp which is so simple and delicious, perfect for a single portion. With a few pantry ingredients and fresh strawberries you can enjoy this easy dessert in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients
For the fruit -
1/2heaped cup fresh strawberriesquartered
1tsplemon juice
1tbspflour
1tbspsugar
1/2tspvanilla
For the crumble -
2tbspbrowned butter/melted butter
1tbspbrown sugar
3tbspflour
2tbsprolled oatsold fashioned
2tbspwalnutsroughly chopped
Pinchof salt & cinnamon powder
1tbspgranulated sugar/Demerara sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180 deg C.
In a 5 inch ramekin add the quartered strawberries, flour, sugar, vanilla and stir together, set aside.
In a mixing bowl add the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, salt and cinnamon. Stir until combined.
Add the walnuts and using your fingers press the mixture together to create clumps. Transfer the chunks of crumble to the ramekin filled with the strawberry mixture.
Sprinkle over the Demerara sugar and bake for 15 minutes or until the top is golden and the juices are bubbling from the edges.
You can serve it with powdered sugar on top, cold cream, custard or vanilla ice cream. But it is enjoyed best while hot or warm.
Notes
Do not over bake this crumble as we want the fruit to be saucy at the bottom.
You can use any fruit of your choice. I have also used upto 3/4 cup of fruit for more fruit to crumble ratio.
