Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Glass jar (air tight)
  • Whisk
  • Mug

Ingredients

To make hot cocoa mix

  • 125 g cocoa powder
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g milk chocolate
  • 45 g milk powder
  • 30 g corn starch
  • 15 g instant coffee powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

To make hot cocoa

  • 3 tbsp hot cocoa mix
  • 1/4 cup hot milk
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • Giant marshmallows
  • Mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • We add the dark chocolate, milk chocolate, cocoa powder, corn starch, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla powder, salt, milk powder, instant coffee in a food processor and blend until smooth and has the consistency of fine powder. Transfer the powder to an air tight container/jar and use as needed.
  • I like a thick and rich hot cocoa so my ratio is 3 tbsp of the hot cocoa mix with 1/4 cup hot milk and 1/2 cup hot water. Stir well until the mixture has dissolved.
  • I like serving it with giant marshmallows that are torched and mini chocolate chips.

Notes

  • Make this hot cocoa with water, milk or a combination of both like I have done.
  • You can serve it with any toppings of your choice
