Get cooking and baking for the holidays with these festive recipes inspired from nostalgic Christmas movies to get the spirit going. They are simple to make and definitely a delicious project to bring in the season.
I saw a post online which said Christmas is only 9 weekends away and it just hit me that we are officially in the “ber” months on the year. Which means before we know it, we are going to be in December which is my favourite time of the year. And while I always have delicious recipes and content to share during the holidays like my classic eggnog recipe or the garlic Christmas buns I am always watching Christmas movies from 1st Nov. Erm, news flash it is 24th October and while we are officially neck deep in spooky season I was too excited and HAD to share this list with you all ASAP.
These are the holiday movies I always start with. I then get into many more with a run up to the main day. I absolutely love Christmas movies and hallmark Christmas movies as well. It is very comforting to have them running in the background while I go about my day and enjoy myself. It is such a simple joy but I have been doing it for years now and it is tradition. While I have these movies playing, I make a note of the delicious food moments within each film and note them down. This led me to create a series. It has been one of my favorite series to cook/bake.
Having said this, the holidays/festive season is one for joy, peace and comfort. There is so much going on in the world right now now and it seems like such a tough time to be alive but the gratitude of being alive has never been stronger as well. So while is hare my first festive post for 2024, I am here to also tell you to try and share the cheer with those who are less fortunate as there is no better feeling in spreading the love (in many cases) through food) all around – especially to those who actually need it. To many, cooking and baking can be stressful, labor some and tedious. While that be the case for some recipes there are a lot of recipes which come together so simply like my 5 minute hot mocha.
Because I love you all so much I have created a Christmas Movie Advent Calendar🎄to get the festive spirit going. If you need any inspiration on what to watch and do not know where to start let this list be your guide and help you kick start the holidays with brightness and cheer!
As always, find the recipe videos for these on my socials but for now let us get to the Christmas movie inspired recipe list. If you give any of these recipes a go, do share them with me on Pinterest or instagram. I would love nothing more that to chat with you about cooking/baking. So let us get to it! Happy Eating Ninjas! 🎄
