5 Cocktails To Make For NYE

These are my favorite new years eve cocktail recipes to make, they are simple to prepare and very delicious to ring in nye.

If you are looking for some easy but delicious cocktails to make tonight for NYE then look no further. If you are single or having a party then these are the drinks you can make. The ingredients are very simple and you can make these cocktails without any fancy equipment either. There are a few things you need to make a simple but delicious cocktails.

Apart from these 5 cocktails, I also love a good Irish coffee on 31st December to keep up awake, the cranberry Moscow mule is festive but also delicious for bringing in the new year. But if you need a pitcher type drink for a party, my thanksgiving sangria is the way to go. Here are a few tips to make the best cocktails at home:

Less is more –

To make a good cocktail we do not want to add the whole bar into the pitcher. It is most often than not simple ingredients in the right amounts that make the best drinks. Using the best quality ingredients also helps.

Fruits & Spices are welcome –

I love the addition of fresh fruit and spices in cocktails. You can use the zest of citrus as garnishes but also as additions to the cocktails by muddling it. Using fresh fruit juices or chunks of fruits like berries adds texture and body but flavor to the drinks as well. I like using whole spices in pitcher cocktails but powders and extracts when serving drinks for one.

Presentation is key –

We drink with our eyes first and cocktail presentation is key. We don’t need fancy garnishes or elaborate decorations, a few simple glasses and additions to the drink like sugared Rosemary or cranberries, sugar and salt rimmed glasses, olives on toothpicks, etc.
