Recipes to Make for Eid 2026

These recipes are my most treasured to cook and bake for my loved ones. They are a combination of tradition and comfort from cuisines all over the world serving one purpose – full tummies with delicious food through simplicity.

March 3rd 2026, also, day 4 of the current political climate in UAE but I am looking ahead at the moments I would want to cherish and celebrate with my loved ones even more. Hence looking into recipes for the season ahead seems only fitting to get things going from my side as food has always been my safe space, my zen and therapy. A lot of you might not relate but it has been my go to from the beginning and I also believe it unites us in more ways. Which is what we need most. 

While these recipes are not your traditional and authentic Eid recipes to cook and bake for the occasion let me introduce you to some of my most favourite recipes that will feed your friends and family over the celebrations comfortably and add deliciousness to every meal. Trust me when i say, they are universal recipes which you can use any time so if you are seeing this and its not Eid or you don’t celebrate then don’t be shy and go ahead and try them out. 

Appetizers –

I have combined a few of my favorites from various categories starting with appetizers and salads – they are a MUST for any celebration and a great way to get the part started but also a great way to break ice and make your guests feel welcomed. These can be cold or warm but what’s a non negotiable is that it MUST be yummy as this sets the precedent for dinner that’s to come.

Main Course –

Moving on to main course. There is a little something for everyone, my veggie peeps as well as the meat lovers. My family absolutely loves a bake and curry but that doesn’t mean you have to stick to them – its good to mix and match recipes to keep variety and add excitement in the menu. We never stick to one theme or once cuisine during gatherings which might sound odd but its so much fun and works well.

Easy Chicken Curry (everyday beginner recipe)

This is my go to chicken curry recipe which is perfect for a weekday or weeknight cooking meal. We blend all the curry ingredients together and cook the chicken in it until tender. Serve it hot with rice and dinner is ready!
