Creamy and delicious but packed with all the goodness and nutrition you need in a breakfast meal, this peaches & cream smoothie recipe is fruity and fresh to say the least.
Most mornings I am shooting recipes or on my feet making most of the natural light. Which is why I am constantly moving from the kitchen to the dinning room, back and forth. Which is why a good smoothie is perfect for my breakfast in such situations. Don’t get wrong I love to romanticize my morning but I don’t get the time to do that often. Since I make smoothies often, you must know I am constantly blending, I use the Nutri bullet and it works like a charm. I have been using it for years now.
This breakfast smoothie is packed everything I need but more importantly tastes like desert for breakfast. And who wouldn’t like dessert for breakfast? I like my smoothies heavy so that it keeps me going until lunch which is why I’ve packed it with fibre, carbs, fats and protein. There are many variations to this but I absolutely love having this smoothie when peaches are in season.
We need fresh or frozen peaches, bananas and ice to start with. If you are using frozen fruit you can reduce the ice. I like the addition of ice as it makes for a very creamy and frosty smoothie. However as the weather gets cooler I will reduce the ice int he recipe. There is full fat coconut milk here that gives it the “cream” from the peaches & cream vibe, some oats, flaxseeds, chia seeds and cinnamon powder.
However there are a few other fun ingredients which are optional but definitely worth adding. I have added collagen powder, I use this one. The truth is I have found having this specific brand consistently has helped with my nail and hair growth. I used to suffer from in growth nails on my toes but it has gotten so much better over the months. However you need to be consistent with your consumption. I also added a scoop of neutral protein powder, this is the one I use. MCT oil which is a fantastic fat for your body and great for the skin, I use this one.
It is a meal in itself so I wouldn’t recommend serving this smoothie with anything else. Take you time in drinking it as it has a lot of ingredients and your body needs to digest it slowly.
Now that we have covered how to make this Peaches & Cream Smoothie, you can have a look at the recipe video here but let’s get to it.
If you try this recipe out, don’t forget to share it with me on instagram so I can see how it turned out. I’d love nothing more than to chat with you on your cooking/baking. Happy Drinking Ninjas!
