Hocus Pocus Sangria

Halloween drinks have to be the best way to celebrate spooky season. This hocus pocus sangria is simple to make and perfect to feed a crowd. Add spices and fresh fruit to give it a twist.

Equipment

  • Goblet
  • Plate
  • Blow torch/gas lighter

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cup red wine
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 lime juice
  • 1/4 cup mango juice
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 piece cinnamon stick
  • 4-5 grapefruit wedges
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 4-6 cubes ice

Optional:

  • 1 tsp Silver luster dust

Instructions
 

  • In a plate place 1 star anise and the cinnamon stick, and burn with a blow torch or gas lighter.
  • Once it is smoky, cover the plate a large goblet. Leave for 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn over the goblet and add the ingredients into the glass, fruits, star anise and everything.
  • Add the ice and you can add a little luster dust for a glittering sangria. Serve it chilled.

Notes

  • If you are not serving it immediately don't add the ice, store it in the fridge until ready to serve.
