15 No BAKE Summer Dessert Recipes

These sweet treat recipes will cool you down and don’t need you to turn the oven on. They are simple but my GO-TO summer desserts that are delicious.

With summer summering, it only seems fitting for me to share some of my favorite summer desserts that work like a charm every single year. I have been making most of these recipes for years now and they are successful not only with me, my family and friends but also with so many of you! I absolutely love seeing you recreate my recipes and make them your own. Having said this, there are a few things to keep in mind when making any summer dessert and we will go through all of them.

For summer dessert recipes have to include these components:

Easy –

In saying this I have many many desserts that I love and would suggest for you to make but if you are a beginner in baking or cooking and are looking for quick recipes that hit the spot and a good introduction into summer desserts then these are the recipes for you. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love a good warm chocolate chip cookie or slice of lemon drizzle cake that is timeless and works well in any season but these desserts below are meant for summer.

Freshness –

As we are already scorching it is absolutely imperative hat we use freshness in our recipes. What does this mean? Ingredients like lime, lemon, mint, fresh herbs, fresh fruit, etc are fantastic additions to your desserts to keep them fresh and light. Which is why my lemon basil blueberry smash drink is so good – dessert in liquid form.

Cold –

I don’t know about you but I prefer cold desserts in the summer and while I still endorse recipes like my peach hot sugar crust we still need cold desserts that make for a cooling summer recipe. In saying this you could do a simple affogato and enjoy it with biscotti/shortbread/biscuits/cookies. When I say cold I also mean frozen desserts which spills into the scoops of ice cream.
