31 Recipes To Make In December 2025

Here are favorite festive recipes for the most wonderful time of the year. It has a combination of sweet and savory but perfect for beginners or advanced foodies who love to cook, bake and eat this holiday season.

I am a little late to this post but please bare with me as it has been BEYOND HECTIC. But also, better late than never!

If there is one month for you to kick start your cooking and baking joinery let December be the month for you. It is a month filled with delicious opportunity as we are in all the festive feels for the season. I could be biased though as it is my absolute favorite time of year. I am that annoying person who says happy holidays and compliments of the season to random people at the airport or on the street. It is one of the most fun and cozy months to enjoy the year. There are SO MANY RECIPES on my blog which can inspire you to make something yummy for your loved ones but these are my favourite round up recipes.

FOOD HOLIDAYS THIS MONTH

Apart from Christmas on 25th there are a few important dates to keep in mind during this month. We’ve got national cookie day on 4th December – check out my go to brown butter chocolate chunk cookie recipe to celebrate. 5th December is world pear day and my baked granola pears are perfect for a cold winter morning. 30th December is bacon day and if you need any recipe with bacon it must include my fluffy pancakes which pair perfectly with crispy bacon. This month is celebrated as the fruit cake month and eggnog month.

FOODS IN SEASON THIS MONTH

From the veggies, you will find Brussels sprouts, celery, broccoli, beetroot, cauliflower, carrots, celeriac, kale, leek, sweet potatoes, squash, mushrooms, parsnip, and cabbage. There is so much you can make from soups and stews to warm salads and side dishes. Not to mention main courses like veggie bakes, casseroles, puffs and curries. With fruits you will find citrus in galore, cranberries, pears, kiwi and apples.

While these are some of my favorite cooking/baking recipes I also love my drinks this season and if I have to be honest, rounding up a few would have to start with my hot chocolate mix, tiramisu twist, sugar cookie martini and cranberry spritz. These are a the favorites but head to my drinks section and get more inspiration. If you try out any of these recipes, do share your thoughts with me on instagram as I would love to know how they turned out. Happy Holidays!
