Some of my favorite transition recipes to put you in the mood for fall and autumn. They are simple and easy to prepare but also very delicious and comforting.
I am a little late to this party but here we are. These recipes are some of my most comforting and cozy transition recipes to kick start all the fall feelings. I have already made a list of movies I want to watch this season and a list of recipes to go along side it. Things I want to bake and cook to embrace the season of fall/autumn. A lot of which is in my heart as the summer in Dubai is still hot, the evenings have gotten a little better but we are very much in summer.
This month brings a lot of fun events to the table. Apart from it being the back to school month in most parts of the world, it is definitely the month to enjoy a little time making recipes that feed a crowd. In India this month we celebrate Ganesh Chaturti and Onam are more major in the line up as compared to others. Sep 5th is world samosa day, while Sep 13th is also considered International chocolate day and 20th is World Paella day as well.
You will see green beans, egg plant, mushrooms (all kinds and varieties), cabbage, broccoli, carrots, butternut squash, artichoke, corn, bell peppers, radish, kale and garlic. While soups, stews and curries are a way forward you can still very much enjoy hearty salads, steak and grilled chicken. In reference to the fruits you will see pumpkins alot more now, juicy figs as well, apples, grapes, pears, melons, nectarines and plums. But stone fruit in general will be perfect at this time of the year.
If you try these recipes out, don’t forget to share it with me on pinterest & instagram so I can see how it turned out. I’d love nothing more than to chat with you on your cooking/baking.
