ONE BOWL Chocolate cake

This chocolate cake is so easy to make, the batter is made in one bowl and comes together in under one hour. It is a tender, moist and fluffy cake recipe that is intensely packed with chocolate flavor.

If there is one recipe you need to have in your bank it is a simple but intensely flavored and tender chocolate cake. This is my go to chocolate cake recipe. It is very simple to make and comes together easily. You do not need any fancy equipment or ingredients to make it. Enjoy it on its own or serve it with ice cream or any other topping you like. It travels well and you can bake it in any tin you have. Also, it stores well and can be eaten over the period of a week. The texture gets better with the days and is very moist, tender and soft. This is an elevated recipe from the eggless chocolate cake recipe.

Growing up, chocolate cake meant pillsbury box cake mix. Back then it was the best cake ever and I couldn’t believe that it was so simple to make. Today however a good chocolate cake must be with whole ingredients, simple to make and very yummy to eat. But it must be have that fluffy and soft chocolate cake texture. So here is my favorite chocolate cake recipe that is THE BEST one ever!

What is chocolate cake made of?

Commonly most people make chocolate cake from a box mix and while I am not here to hate on that I adhere to tell you homemade is just was easy. The most commonly used ingredients for chocolate cake is cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar (white or brown), fat (oil or butter), eggs, dairy (yogurt, milk or buttermilk).

What are the 5 main ingredients in cake?

Flour, cocoa powder, sugar, butter/oil, water/eggs. This is a basic ingredient list which can vary based on multiple recipes.

How to make a cake moist?

Moisture in a cake comes from the liquid. So keeping a cake moist is a combination of liquid content in a cake and the baking of a cake. I like using oil in my chocolate cake for a moist texture but the addition of yogurt, milk, etc also add to the overall moisture in the cake. Making sure the cake is not over baked the oven must be preheated and the cake should be baked until a tooth pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
