Cranberry Rosemary Moscow Mule

A vodka cocktail that is perfect for thanksgiving and any party. Filled with cranberries, rosemary, lime, ice and topped with ginger beer.

I have made a Cherry Moscow Mule and it was an absolute hit. So this is my fall festive version filled with all the delicious flavors of thanksgiving. I have used frozen cranberries to make this cocktail but you can get your hands on fresh cranberries now so use fresh instead.

The cocktail is simple to make and its done in the glass you want to serve it in. I have used a traditional Moscow Mule mug that is copper but you can use any mug/glass you have and like. I love mixing the cranberries, rosemary with lime juice and cranberry juice before muddling. We add the vodka and stir it around with ice. Top it with ginger beer.

If you want to make this cocktail a mocktail leave the vodka out and add ginger ale into the muddled cranberry mixture. I would also recommend adding some more lime juice in that case. A traditional Moscow Mule calls for vodka but if you’ve got gin you can use just that to make this cocktail – however it won’t be a Moscow Mule anymore. I garnish it with a slice of lime and rosemary sprig.

Food pairing –

This is a thanksgiving inspired cocktail hence I would recommend serving it with roast turkey or Turkey sandwiches. It would also pair well with mashed potatoes and pan fried chicken breast. If you are looking for a veggie option you can serve it with Mac and cheese or a cheeseboard platter.
