Sugar Cookie Martini For Santa

Why leave sugar cookies under the tree on Christmas Eve for Santa Claus when you can leave a sugar cookie martini with treats?

I was see this recipe everywhere for a while and I thought it only seemed fitting to make my version of a classic sugar cookie but martini. Considering we did 12 Days Of Christmas with my 1 Dough – 12 Ways recipe that was so much fun. This martini must be kept with cookies under the tree for Santa so when he arrives on 24th December night he will enjoy a nightcap with cookies.

The recipe is fairly simple and straightforward, we need milk and cream in equal quantities (or use half and half), vodka, Baileys, amaretto, vanilla and ice. Now you could use gin in place of the vodka but them it won’t be a martini anymore. You could also use almond extract in place of the amaretto but it won’t be the same however it still does the job. You could also use Rumchata in place of the baileys. I love decorating the glass with buttercream frosting but you could use melted while chocolate. Christmas colored sprinkles are a winner here.

Food pairing –

This is a sweetish drink hence I would recommend serving this with cookies, cakes, pastries and as a dessert cocktail. Having said this you can also serve it with sandwiches, canapés and small bites. I would recommend serving it with the cowboy caviar, bacon and eggs butter spread and Christmas buns.
