Here are a mix of fresh dinner recipes, spring desserts and delicious treats to whip up for mothers day. Not to mention easy breakfast and brunch options to get you in the kitchen, cooking and baking.
Today I decided to start sharing a monthly recipe round up. I realized its been over 3 years since I have been posted recipes this blog and we have crossed 500 recipes so far, which shocked me as I did not realize the amount of content I have shared. Hence it only seemed fitting that I share recipes with you which are perfect to cook up every month keeping in mind the season, the produce and the food holidays as well to keep you motivated to cook and bake more.
May is a month filled with fresh, spring and the onset of summer vibes. For me it meant alphonso mangoes and trust me when i say there aren’t enough mango recipes to cover my love for them. However may is also a month where, in some parts of the world they celebrate mothers day, cinco de mayo and memorial day as well. Having said this there is an international hummus day which I think is fair as we need to give it its due. With strawberries in season we have a pick strawberries day but in all honesty – I love strawberries during this time of the year. I was surprised to learn about a world tuna day but it is celebrated with your most beloved tuna recipes. International cocktail day as well to help you create as many cocktails to learn to make a single cocktail this month.
In this month you can find vegetables like asparagus, scallions, artichokes, broccoli, beetroot, wild garlic, carrots, spinach, radish, peas, mushrooms and cucumbers in season. They can make delicious recipes which will elevate your meals. As for fruits, strawberries, kiwi, pineapples, cherries, blueberries, avocados etc. I have so many recipes using these ingredients all through the blog but let us get to the list below.
