Autumn as a drink. Filled with caramel sauce, apple pie syrup, coffee and cold foam, this is literally Apple pie in the form of a latte.
The credits of this latte goes to the Apple Pie Syrup. As you know by now, I love syrups, check out my Spiced Vanilla Pear Syrup recipe I posted las week. Todays recipe is based on the the apple syrup that is made from apple peels and the core which you would normally throw away. It is a cross between delicious and dessert vibes.
Now I have a homemade salted caramel recipe that is simple to make and tastes absolutely yummy. You can us this sauce to make any recipe, it is perfect for drizzling into cakes, puddings, drinks or just having on its own. A must have recipe as you can be stored it in glass jars in the fridge for upto 3 months.

TO MAKE THE APPLE SYRUP –
In a sauce pot, we add the leftover apple peels and core. If you don’t have any leftover apples you can use whole apples that are diced, however you need this syrup to make this latte. Add the the maple syrup, cinnamon, brown sugar, bourbon, pinch of salt, cornstarch and water into the sauce pot and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and add let the mixture simmer. Until thicker and syrupy. Let it cool before you strain it, label and place in the fridge.
We start by adding the caramel sauce in a glass, pour in the apple pie syrup, espresso, and stir well. This is a hot latte hence you need to use hot espresso to make it. If you like it stronger do a double shot. I also like using regular black coffee to make this recipe. Once stirred together, add hot milk and stir together. Pour over the maple whipped cream and dust with more cinnamon powder on top. Pipe over extra caramel sauce and serve it hot.

Food pairing-
This Caramel Apple Pie Latte would pair well with the Caramel Apple Crumble Cake, the Squash Quiche, cheeseboards, the hummus platters, Maple sugar cookies and any sandwiches or puff pastries like the chicken puffs.
Now that we have covered how to make this Caramel Apple Pie Latte, you can have a look at the recipe video on my socials but let’s get to it.
If you try this recipe out, don’t forget to share it with me on instagram so I can see how it turned out. I’d love nothing more than to chat with you on your cooking/baking.
